How our service works

Commercial Refrigeration Repair List is not a refrigeration contractor. It is a small, free service that helps US businesses find a technician for walk-ins, reach-ins, ice machines, display cases and rack systems, and this page sets out exactly how that works.

  1. You send the request

Your ZIP code, the equipment, what it is doing, whether product is at risk, and the best way to reach you.

  2. We search your area

We look for a refrigeration technician whose service area includes your ZIP code and who works on the equipment you named.

  3. We tell you the name

By email or phone, before anything else happens. If you are not happy with the choice, say so and your request stops there.

  4. The technician takes over

With your go-ahead they contact you, diagnose the fault and price the work. Any agreement is between you and them.

What we are, and what we are not

We are an introduction service run by Joe Trewick trading as Grub Leads. We do not repair, install or sell refrigeration equipment, we do not employ technicians, and we do not publish a list of firms or rate them. The word "list" in our name describes how we started: a list of equipment and faults, not a ranking of companies. We have no connection with any business whose name resembles ours.

Promises we keep

  • No charge to you, at any point, for using the service.
  • One technician per request, named to you before your details go anywhere.
  • No prices for your job from us: only the technician can price a repair, once the fault is diagnosed.
  • No newsletters, no marketing lists, and no selling your details to anyone else.

Who pays

The refrigeration firm pays us a fee when we introduce a customer to them. Your repair costs the same whether or not it came through us, and you are free to turn the technician down.

Our figures and rules

The repair prices on this site are typical ranges from published US contractor price guides, read in November 2026, and each page says so. They help you judge a quote; they are not a quote. Temperatures and rules come from the FDA Food Code, the EPA and the Department of Energy, linked where they are used. Nothing here is legal, food safety or engineering advice for your site: your local health department and the technician who sees the equipment have the final word.

Find a refrigeration technician

Your ZIP code, a name and a number, then a few taps about the equipment. Most people finish in under a minute.

We are a free matching service, not a refrigeration contractor. We look for a refrigeration technician who covers your area and tell you who it is first; your details go to them only with your go-ahead.
